My brother Harry Balz put up a new post over on our main site, Sports by the Balz. It’s the Avalanche talk you’d expect from him, and he got it published before me. I’ll give him that, since being first is about the only contest Harry wins in this family.

Let me tell you something about Colorado State football that might surprise the casual observer: this program has a pulse. A real one. Not the flatline we’ve seen for stretches over the past decade, but an actual heartbeat that could give BYU some serious problems Saturday night at Sonny Lubick Field. Listen up, Hairy Times readers — I don’t say this often, but my twin brother Jim actually got something right. Football IS back, and America DOES need this. Saturday has the Red River Rivalry and Georgia at Alabama, and Sunday sends the Broncos to Los Angeles with a running game that has a lot of people talking about trades. Jim and Harry Balz could not agree on lunch, so here…
Jim Balz here, and I’ll keep the victory lap short. Last week on The Hairy Times, my brother Harry and I argued about Colorado vs. Texas Tech. I made two calls. First, Isaac Wilson’s interception history would hurt him against a defense full of ballhawks. Second, Tech would score more than the 24.5 points per…
